Our buddy Andre manages Mariner Gallery, the East Coast’s premier maritime fine art gallery in Newport, RI. He also operates Northeast Hardwood, a sawmill and custom live-edge furniture company in Darien, CT. Andre is a USCG Master Captain who loves tennis, sailing, marathons, diving and hiking over fifty North American national parks.

Our dad infused in us a passion for woodcarving (specifically whales) and nautical paintings, which eventually drove us to the door of Andre’s gallery in Newport. And as luck would have it, visiting is a whole lot easier since Andre opened a second gallery right in Edgartown, just steps away from our flagship Martha’s Vineyard store. So go ahead and add “neighbor” to his various titles—they might not fit on a standard business card but “jack-of-all-trades” fits just fine.
