When I saw these socks with the pom poms - they reminded me of the socks that I used to wear when I played tennis back in High School. The cushioning that these socks provided were like a dream for my feet! When I took my shoes off that evening - my feet still felt really good. The quality of the socks after washing them a few times was excellent. The socks still looked new after washing them those few times. My husband & I are big fans of Vineyard Vines clothes. However - even though the sock itself retained its' quality after washing them a few times, there is one thing that was kind of disappointing. The pom poms started to loosen themselves from the socks rather quickly. Please start having them sewn on better before they are sold. After all - it was initially those pom poms and my good memories of the high school tennis team years ago that made me order them.

I was looking for a comfortable sport sock that came up high enough to clear my tennis shoes. These were perfect. Please note that cotton fabric is a bit thick so I am not sure in warmer climates how these would be? But my feet are always cold so They work for me while playing tennis. If you are looking for "no show" style these are not for you. If you want socks high enough to to cover ankle for tennis or gold shoes, then give them a try!
